Abstract : Three sprays in the orchard with 0.3% Manebgan [maneb], starting 2 weeks after fruit set, were effective in controlling post-harvest fruit decay [organism unspecified]. During the transportation of large bins (containing about 350 kg fruit) from the orchard to the packing house, only fruit touching the bottom of the bin was bruised (up to 70%). The optimum temperature for treating fruit with ethylene before export was 17 deg C. The lowest temperature for storage of the cvs Palmer and Kith was 14 deg , while Kent, less sensitive to chilling, could be stored at 12 deg
