Abstract : Nine quantitative characteristics including length of leaf, width of leaf, length of stalk, average fruit weight, length of fruit, width of fruit, thick of fruit, edible rate of fruit, soluble solids content of 243 mango cultivars were evaluated. The results showed that all the quantitative characteristics and their coefficients of variation were above 13%. These main quantitative characteristics were analyzed by K-S test. The values of normally distributed characteristics could be divided into 5 grades by dividing points: (X-1.281 8 S), (X-0.524 6 S), (X+0.524 6 S) and (X+1.281 8 S). Occurrence probability of 1 to 5 grade was 10%, 20%, 40%, 20% and 10% respectively. Characteristics conforming to ?2 distribution could be regarded and treated as those conforming normal distribution for convenience. This research will provide reference for the specification and data standardization of mango germplasm descriptor system.
