Abstract : Foliar sprays with Cycocel [chlormequat] and Alar [daminozide], each at 5000 p.p.m., at monthly intervals, induced early and intensive flowering. An increased endogenous level of ascorbic acid associated with flower bud formation indicated a positive correlation between ascorbic acid level and flower initiation.
