Abstract : Under field conditions, R. necatrix was found to infect and kill deciduous fruit trees, olive, the rootstocks Citrus [Poncirus] trifoliata, C. macrophylla, C. aurantium and Troyer citrange, various grapevine rootstocks, avocado, mango, macadamia, pomegranate and loquat. Certain weeds and field crops were also attacked. Passiflora edulis and some trees of persimmon and pecan appeared to be resistant. Following tests on various fungicides in vitro and in the field, TBZ [thiabendazole] and Afugan [pyrazophos] gave the best results. They delayed disease development in infected trees but did not give complete control.
