Practical hints on veneer grafting in mango.

Abstract : Data are presented from several trials on factors affecting success. The best results were obtained with 6-month-old scions, grafted onto 1- or 2-year-old stocks, in July/August. The bud-sticks should be defoliated and kept in moss wrapped with polyethylene for 3-5 days before grafting. Of several tying materials compared, white polyethylene strips gave the best results.
