Abstract : This paper is a short account of studies at Pantnagar in the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh from 1971 onwards on the unusual life-history and control of Apsylla cistellata (Buckt.), of which the embryo commences feeding before it hatches and causes conical galls on mango shoots. A more detailed account of these observations and control tests has already been noticed [see RAE/A 66, 3590].
