Abstract : The source of fungi infection in different tree parts of mango was studies in the selected orchards and results indicate that the dry parts (24-75%) of tree had more percentage of fungal infestation than green parts (101-15%). The fungal infestation was less in the trees/orchards that were maintained by integrated pest and disease management. The predominant fungi in the bits of tree parts were to Aspergillus sp., White Mycelia sterilia, Alternaria sp., and Colletotrichum sp. Three important fungal rots viz. stem end rot, anthracnose rots and black mould rot of mango were observed during storage and handling of mango fruits. About 20, 12 and 8 per cents of mango fruits were spoiled during storage in Alphanso, Malgoba and Totapuri varieties, respectively.
