Abstract : Charcoal powder was a better medium than polythene bags, desiccators, refrigeration or open jars for the storage of mango seeds; viability of 50-60% was retained for up to 90 days. Leaf mould was the best of several germination media which also included sand, soil, sawdust and FYM.
