Abstract : An investigation was carried out in 2007 and 2008 to evaluate the performance of eco-trap, methyl eugenol bait and carbaryl against fruit fly in mango. Maximum number of fruit flies were trapped in treatment (25 trees per eco-trap) followed by T2 (20 trees per eco-trap) and T4 (30 trees per eco-trap). In methyl eugenol treatment, the number of fruit flies trapped were 34.74, 42.05 and 28.98 at 5, 10 and 15 days after installation of trap, respectively. Consequently infestation was also low and yield was more in these treatments. Effectiveness of the eco traps was maintained up to 45 days.
