Effect of foliar application of Zn, B and Mn on fruit quality and yield of mango (Mangifera indica L.).

Abstract : An experiment was conducted to examine the effect of Zn, Mn and B spray on the yield and fruit quality of mango. Two sprays of zinc sulphate (0.5%) and borax (0.25%) during second week of July and October proved to be exceedingly effective in augmenting the fruit quality and fruit yield (94.91 kg tree-1). However, all the levels of zinc sulphate, manganese sulphate and borax proved their sublime quality with regard to yield over control. The interaction effect of Zn, Mn and B were highly significant during second year of study for yield and fruit quality except acidic character of fruit.
