Abstract : The effects of four plant extracts, namely neem, marigold, ashwagandha and eucalyptus on the yield and nematode populations associated with mango trees in the field were examined. Neem and eucalyptus were found to be most effective in the control of Hemicriconemoides mangiferae, Hoplolaimus pseudorobustus and Helicotylenchus indicus populations Despite marked reduction in nematode populations, the yield of mango remained uninfluenced by the phytonematicides.
