Abstract : Flowering behavior of mango cv Amrapali in different directions (east, west, north, south) of tree was studied in the new alluvial zone of West Bengal. The hermaphrodite flower was highest (22.20-42.91%) in the western direction and the male flower was highest (77.63-86.97%) in the southern direction during the study of two consecutive years. The western part of the tree also exhibited highest sex ratio (hermaphrodite:male), panicle length and number of branch lets per panicle.
