Abstract : Performance of Indian Spinach (Basella alba) grown under Mango (Mangifera indica) and Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) tree species in different orientations were evaluated from May to August 2006 in the Bangladesh Agricultural University Campus, Mymensingh, Bangladesh. The orientations were North, South, East and West for each tree species. Among the, orientations, the percentage of fresh yield was highest under Mango tree than Eucalyptus tree. Compared to open field the highest fresh yield was found under Mango tree in south direction (80.05%) and the lowest under Eucalyptus tree in north direction (48.86%). Among different orientations both fresh and dry yield of Indian spinach showed better performance in the South orientations. According to the performance the ranked order of different orientations was South > West > East > North.
