Induction of flowering and fruiting in immature mango shoots with KNO3.

Abstract : The results are given of a trial with 6 mango cvs on the effects of spraying shoots aged 1.25-4.75 months with KNO3 at 10-40 g/litre. Flowering of various intensities was induced after 7-20 days, and some of the fruits were retained until mature. None of the unsprayed shoots flowered.
