Abstract : Systemic insecticides were applied to mango trees as soon as nymphal feeding began in the leaf midrib, and before gall formation. The appearance of honeydew and waxy excreta indicated the time for treatment and which trees were affected. Three sprays at 15-day intervals were needed. The most effective products were dimethoate (Rogor 30 e.c.) and monocrotophos (Nuvacron 40 e.c.) applied as sprays or by injection.
