Effect of foliar sprays of nitrogen and growth regulators on the physico-chemical composition of mango (Mangifera indica L.).

Abstract : In 2-year trials the effects were compared of urea at 0, 2 or 4%, alone or combined with 2,4,5-T, NAA or 2,4-D, each at 20 or 40 p.p.m. Fruit fresh weight, sugars, TSS, ascorbic acid contents and the TSS:acidity ratio were enhanced by all treatments and fruit acidity was reduced, compared with untreated controls.
