Efficacy trail of sweet lure with different additives on trapping of Scatopse sp. and Megaselia sp.

Abstract : The present experiment has been conducted to study the effects of sweet lure added with honey, clarificant and mango juice in trapping of edible fungi pests Scatopse sp. and Megaselia sp. The sweet lure (sugar: vinegar: wine: water=5:6:3:10) was mixed with 1 and 30% trichlorfon EC, and 2% honey, clarificant and mango juice. The results showed enhancement in insect attraction after addition of honey, clarificant and mango juice in sweet lure. The maximum numbers of insect-pests were trapped when the sweet lure was mixed with honey.
