Effect of ringing, notching and defoliation in mango shoots, cv. Langra on flower induction.

Abstract : Ringing of 1- and 2-year-old shoots in October in an off year resulted in the best flowering (42.58%) compared with 4.53% in the control, 24.22% after notching or 5.14% after defoliation of the test shoot. The effects of treatments on shoot chemical composition were also determined and the data are tabulated.
