Antifungal activities of mango extracts from stems and leaves.

Abstract : The antifungal activities of the mango extracts were tested against Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, Botryodiplodia theobromae, Colletotrichum musae, Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense, Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. niveum, Rhizoctonia solani by using mycelial growth rate method. The results indicated that the antifungal activities of the extracts were good against six kinds of fungal at the concentration of 5 mg.mL-1, especially the antifungal activities of the extracts from mango from A3, A17, A25, and A65 were more than 60% against Rhizoctonia solani, the antifungal activities of the extracts from mango A3 were 72.73% and 61.67% against Colletotrichum gloeosporioides and Botryodiplodia theobromae, the antifungal activities of the extracts mango from A17 was 65.83% against Botryodiplodia theobromae; the EC50 of the extracts from mango A3 was 2.2457 mg.mL-1 against Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, and was 3.3215 mg.mL-1 against Botryodiplodia theobromae.
