Abstract : Imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 0.005% was the best treatment by bringing down the mortality of mango mealy bug up to 45.0 and 48.2%, during both the years. The other treatments in order of % mortality was dimethoate @ 0.05% (38 & 41.5%), followed by monocrotophos 36 SL @ 0.04% (33.6 & 36.7%), methyl parathion @ 2% (30.3 & 32.2%), chlorpyriphos 20 EC @ 0.05 (27.2 & 31.4%), NSKE @ 5% (23.1 & 26.7%), Beauveria bassiana @ 1.0×109 cfu/ml (18.3 & 21.2%) and ozoneem @ 0.15% (16.6 & 19.0%) during 2006-07 and 2007-08, respectively. Significantly higher fruit yield of 323.0 q/ha was harvested in imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 0.005%. Dimethoate EC @ 0.05% was second most effective treatment having fruit yield of 288.17 q/ha. It was statistically superior over rest of the treatments, except imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 0.015% during both the years. It was followed by monocrotophos 36% SL@ 0.04 (277.5 q/ha), methyl parathion 2% (265.67 q/ha), chlorpyriphos @ 0.05% (257.7 q/ha), NSKE @ 5% (246.0 q/ha), B. bassiana @ 1.0×109 cfu/ml (220.67 q/ha) and ozoneem @ 0.15% (215.84 q/ha).
