Abstract : The research work was conducted to investigate the antibacterial activity of pet ether, ethyl acetate and ethanol extracts of Mangifera indica L. var. Rasapuri root crude extract (Family-Anacardiaceae). The cup plate technique was used for antibacterial activity. Zones of inhibition were observed for antibacterial investigation against Gram-positive and Gram negative bacteria. With higher doses, the effect Zones of inhibition were comparable with that of standard namely Amoxicillin. Phytochemical investigations were also carried out on all extracts.
