Abstract : An experiment was conducted to ascertain the requirement of heat units for quality fruit production of mango cultivar Dashehari during the development and maturity stage of the fruit. Studied revealed the high temperature, low humidity with low rainfall was more congenial environment for jelly seed formation in mango as compared to low temperature, higher humidity and higher rainfall. It was evident from the meteorological data that the minimum requirement of that total heat unit, 948.45 to 1081.50 DD and mean daily heat unit 10.64-10.99 DD were necessary for getting high quality of Dashehari fruits.
