Abstract : Field experiments were conducted to find out the effect of intercropping and organic manures on the yield of mango cv. Alphonso at Karikalampakkam village in Puducherry region during 2007-08 and 2008-09. Mango intercropped with Aloe and Periwinkle recorded the highest yield of 15.71 and 10.91 kg/tree respectively with the supply of vermicompost @ 5 t/ha+groundnut oil cake @ 500 Kg/ha+panchagavya 3% spray. All the organic manurial treatments for intercrops exerted a positive influence on the yield of main crop. Though intercropping with Aloe and Periwinkle were profitable. Aloe gave highest net profit than Periwinkle.
