Abstract : A pot experiment was conducted to study the efficacy of decomposed chopped hardwood bark @ (100 gm/kg soil) of six different plant species viz; Azadirachta indica, Acacia nilotica, Eucalyptus citriodora, Emblica officinalis, Mangifera indica and Terminalia arjuna against Meloidogyne incognita on Bottle gourd. Azadirachta indica was proved most effective followed by Acacia nilotica, Eucalyptus citriodora, Emblica officinalis, Mangifera indica and Terminalia arjuna respectively. Improvement in plant growth and reduction rate of nematode population was low in 30 days but it appreciably increased with increase in exposure period (60 days).
