A new species of the genus Ascogaster Wesmael (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) from India.

Abstract : A new species of Ascogaster, namely A. dilshadi, is described from Uttar Pradesh, India, parasitizing Acrocercops syngramma on Mangifera indica. The new species is closely related to Ascogaster cuspidata, however, differs in having 35-40 segmented antennae; scape more than 3.5X as long as broad; 3-SR longer than r and hind tibiae 4.0X as long as wide.
