Abstract : The efficacy of the following fungicides against powdery mildew (Oidium mangiferae) of mango (cv. Alphanso) was evaluated: Amistar 25 SC (azoxystrobin) at various rates (25, 50, 75 and 100 ml/100 litres), propiconazole (100 ml/100 litres), carbendazim (100 g/100 litres), wettable sulfur (200 g/100 litres) and penconazole (50 ml/100 litres). Amistar 25 SC at 75 ml/100 litres resulted in the lowest powdery mildew incidence (19.28%), followed by Amistar 25 SC at 100 ml/100 litres (19.33%) and propiconazole (21.94%). The highest yields were obtained with Amistar 25 SC at 75 and 100 ml/100 litres (2.45 t/ha for each).
