Abstract : Endophytic bacteria were isolated by Mangifern indica by surface disinfection method. Their antagonistic activities against Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz and Botryodiplodia theobromae Pat were tested to get the best strain. For the strain, control effect of its fermentation liquid filtrate was determined, and identified by morphology, physiological and biochemical characteristics, and 16S rDNA sequence. The results were as follows. 8 fungi and 9 bacteria of 28 endophytes from Mangifern indica showed high antagonistic activities, among which HBS-1 displayed 42.0% and 50.0% control efficacy against Colletotrichum gloeosporioides and Botryodiplodia theobromae, respectively. Its fermentation liquid filtrate could significantly reduce the incidences of mango postharvest diseases. By analysing the morphology physiological and biochemical characteristics, and 16S rDNA sequence, HBS-1 strain was identified as Bacillus subtilis.
