Abstract : Cultivation problems of avocado (Persea spp.), mango (Mangifera indica), and banana (Musa spp.) in Israel are reviewed. Saline resistant root stocks of avocadoes, careful positioning of mango orchards to reduce low temperature damage, and techniques to direct banana flowering and fruit development to warm summer months have increased yields.
