Studies on malformed inflorescence of mango. The degree of susceptibility among the different varieties.

Abstract : A number of poly- and monoembryonic mango cvs were examined on two farms, one in the Giza Governorate and one in the Tahrir Governorate. Clear differences in susceptibility to inflorescence malformation were found between cvs but not between farms. The cvs Gylore, Mabrouka, Taymour and Company were highly susceptible; Ewas, Dabsha, Hindy Be Sinnara, Pirie and Bullock's Heart were moderately susceptible; and Zebda and Hindy Anshas were rarely affected. There was, however, considerable variation in degree of malformation within each cv.
