Abstract : Fruits of the mango cvs Oliveira-Neto, Bourbon, Brasil, Extrema, Haden and Imperial were immersed in water at 50 deg C for 30 min or at 55 deg for 10 min to control Colletotrichum gloeosporioides [Glomerella cingulata]. The treatments had no adverse effects on the fruits of any cv and gave very good control during storage at 24 deg to 26 deg for 10 days.ADDITIONAL ABSTRACT:In trials against Colletotrichum gloeosporioides [Glomerella cingulata] fruits were immersed in water at 50 deg C for 30 min or at 55 deg for 10 min and matured at room temp. Control was good and quality was unaffected in all 6 cvs.
