Incidence and severity of powdery mildew and malformation on mango cultivars in southern Rajasthan.

Abstract : Incidence and severity of powdery mildew and malformation in different mango varieties grown in southern Rajasthan were assessed. Three tehsils of Banswara district were surveyed to record incidence and severity of powdery mildew and malformation. The results revealed that these diseases are widely distributed with 100% prevalence. Maximum powdery mildew severity was found on cv. Dashehari followed by Amrapali, while cv. Mallika was found moderately susceptible. Bombay Green, Kesar and Langra cultivars were found resistant to powdery mildew. Malformation was prevalent in all orchards surveyed with the highest incidence in cv. Amrapali and closely followed by cv. Rajbhog.
