Effects of foliar application of urea on the chemical composition of mango fruits (Mangifera indica L.) Langra.

Abstract : Trials were carried out with 13-year-old trees of the mango cv. Langra receiving urea at 2, 4 or 6%. Fruit acidity decreased with increasing urea rates. Fruit contents of TSS (15.6%), total sugars (13.1%) and ascorbic acid (44.82 mg/100 g) were highest in trees receiving urea at 4%. The data are tabulated.
