Abstract : A new species of Paralorryia collected in September from the soil in a mango orchard at Behara in Egypt is described from the adult male and female as P. aegyptiaca sp.n. It resembles P. magdalenae Baker from Ecuador, and diagnostic differences between them are mentioned briefly. The relationship of P. aegyptiaca with mango is not yet known; it is noted that some tydeid species are reported as predators in Egyptian orchards, whereas others appear to have little or no economic importance.
