Abstract : Leaf nutrient status was determined in fruiting and non-fruiting terminals after fruit harvest from 20 orchards. N, P and Ca contents were significantly higher in the cv. Dashehari than in Chausa and Lucknow Safeda. The reverse was true for K, S and Zn contents. Mg and Mn contents were similar in the 3 cvs. Leaves from non-fruiting terminals in all cvs contained significantly higher amounts of N and P than those from fruiting terminals but K, Ca, S and Zn were higher only in 2 cvs (Dashehari and Lucknow Safeda). Mn and Fe contents in both kinds of terminal were similar in all cvs.
