Abstract : During a survey of mango orchards in April 2011, a new leaf spot of mango caused by Nigrospora sphaerica [Khuskia oryzae] was observed. The pathogen has been recorded on several other hosts from India, but not on mango. It is also the first generic record from Madhya Pradesh. The symptoms of the disease and morphological features of N. sphaerica are presented.
