Abstract : An investigation on effects of dose of Paclobutrazol on the flowering, yield and fruits quality attributes of mango cv. Ashwina was conducted at Regional Horticulture Research Station (RHRS), Chapainawabganj district of Bangladesh in 2009. Paclobutrazol had significant influence on time of flowering, percentage of flowering, yield, harvesting period and fruit quality attributes of mango. Higher dose of Paclobutrazol treated tree (1.5 g a.i/m canopy) produced earlier flowering by 19 days over control tree. Significantly the highest percentage of flowering (80.00%) and yield both considering number (2196.67) and weight of fruits (923.63 kg) per tree produced by higher dose of Paclobutrazol but it was statistically similar to that of lower dose (75%, 2076.67 Nos. and 867.68 kg respectively). Harvesting time was 14 days earlier in higher dose of Paclobutrazol over control treatment. Lower dose of Paclobutrazol increased the total sugar% and reducing sugar% of fruits but Paclobutrazol decreased vitamin C content of fuits.
